What is EPLAN Education?
EPLAN Education is our offering for teaching. It includes:
Free ECAD software for instruction
Use EPLAN Education for electrotechnical designs. This includes EPLAN Electric P8 with additional add-ons for various disciplines, such as EPLAN Preplanning for technical preplanning, EPLAN Pro Panel for panel building and control cabinet engineering in 3D, and EPLAN Fluid for fluid-power systems in hydraulics, pneumatics, cooling and lubrication. Beyond this, you also receive complete access to the EPLAN Data Portal, from which you can integrate components from world-class manufacturers into your project tasks.
EPLAN Education offers you 35 network licences for non-commercial use. As an instructor, you also receive a single-use licence, which allows you to prepare your lessons from the comfort of your own home. Do you need a more comprehensive campus-wide solution? Then take advantage of up to 300 network licences as well as up to three additional single-use licences for your teaching colleagues.
Training courses & course materials
Become skilled in the EPLAN Platform. As an instructor, you receive a free training course from our EPLAN Training Academy. This is a five-day basic training course during which you will become familiar with how the system works using practice-oriented and end-to-end project design tasks. Our course materials are designed so that you can teach them within one semester. Use our handbook to prepare your lessons. Beyond this, you also receive access to free eLearning courses for self-study. These go into greater detail than the online tutorials for students. This means you are always one step ahead of your students and have exclusive material for your courses.
We offer our online tutorials in fourteen languages and in accordance with two industrial standards (IEC and NFPA). This benefits exchange students, for instance, because they can revisit the course contents in their native language. Each tutorial includes an animated introduction, step-by-step instructions and a quiz to test and consolidate what has just been learned.
By the way: EPLAN received the eLearning Award 2024 in the category of “Learning Transfer” for its form of adaptive learning.
Attractive certification
Become EPLAN certified yourself, and train your students to become an EPLAN Certified Student or an EPLAN Certified Technician. Over the course of these certifications, you and your class will deepen their EPLAN knowledge. Aside from teaching your students how to set up a project in accordance with standards, you will also be teaching them how to best use the navigators, how to diagnose mistakes in a project and how to best rectify them.
Online tutorials support preparations for the certifications, leading classes step by step through the individual topics. During mock exams, students can familiarise themselves with the exam structures and the types of questions. In addition, they can also compare their project designs with provided solutions.
